Yesterday

Over the weekend, Kevin moved the trundle bed out of Boyd's room and into the office. This makes a second guest room for us. Boyd acquired Kevin's trusty OLD brown chair and footstool. It's a comfy chair and actually goes ok in Boyd's room. Plus Boyd has a lot more room to play now.

Boyd is always a big help with the diapers!

he is trying to climb into my lap here.
Yesterday I cooked for the whole week. I made pasta carbonara, squash casserole, and meatloaf. They just have to be popped into the oven now. I am going to try to make this a weekly thing. Saturday or Sunday will be grocery day, and Monday I'll cook. Even though my kitchen is a mess for a while, it might make the rest of the week easier and I can spend more time with Boyd.

this was the mess while I was cooking.

hopefully this will make life easier this week.
Pasta Carbonara. Any kind of noodle you want - cook and drain, thin sliced deli ham, 1/2 can peas, alfredo sauce, black pepper. Mix together and bake for about 30 minutes at 350.

This, cooking for the week, is such a great idea!
I would love to try this...but I don't even know where to start. I will give it a try next week...I promise!
As always, Boyd is adorable!

I wish I were more organized like you!!

I usually think about dinner at 4:50 everyday. LOL!

Boyd's hair is looking curly!! He is such a doll baby!

I'm with you on bulk cooking! Especially in the summer, when I try to cook ahead for the weekend, I allow myself an entire morning and sometimes into the afternoon, to cook ahead meals for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday is generally leftover day and Tuesday is grocery shopping day and that's generally a day I have something like roasted chicken from the deli. So Wed. is about the only day I cook for that day!

You go, girl, with the cooking-ahead-thing! Love it, and always intend to do it, but...

I still can't get over those curls! :o)

It all sounds yummy! Never really thought of doing this....makes since though. Guess I could always find time on Sunday. I hate getting home from work and having to cook, Sidney is usually chomping at the bit as soon as I pick her up from daycare. Boyd looks happy to help! Cutie.
