We spent the morning with our sweet friend Megan, talking and having coffee and donuts. Boyd managed to get out most of her son's toys, break one of them, and steal gumballs from her daughter's room. I'm so thankful that Megan is patient. It was a good morning.
Boyd and I came home, and played outside for a few minutes. I tried to get some pictures, but he kept making faces, so I gave up. Do you love his outfit? Kevin laughed at how I dressed Boyd today. Cowboy shirt and camo pants, that don't match. I love the mismatched look, personally.
I love his messy hair, and his sweet little face, rosy cheeks and all.
Kevin and I stayed up way too late last night, watching the Daytona 500. You may have heard about the crazy wreck that happened, causing a 2 hour delay. I couldn't stay up to finish the race, but I tried. It was exciting though, and I'm glad race season has begun. We love race cars in this house.
It's that time of day where my energy level has reached in the negatives, so I'm pouring a coke zero, and sending Boyd next door to play.
good afternoon.
ps.
Boyd asked Kevin this question the other day, out of the blue.
Do lions eat 6 year olds?
love it.

I am so glad you didn't take pictures of the donuts....I have got a serious sweet tooth today! I love a little boy in mismatchy clothes!
Sounds like a wonderful morning.
That picture of Boyd {the middle one of the 3 smaller pics} makes me laugh! Looks like he's plotting something ;o)
Jealous of your plant!
Hi there,
So envious that you and Megan got to hang out!! I could have used some girl hang out time today:)
love the mismatched look too.
it says i am carefree and happy...wish i could pull off mismatched every now and then! haha
we are seeing little signs of spring too. there are buds on our trees, but so far i haven't seen any flowers popping out yet. BUT...i am certainly ready for spring. I am feeling the itch to change and freshen up some things around the house too. :)
hope your coke zero was just what you needed. late afternoons are hardest for me too.
have a happy night
I have been craving cinnamon rolls so badly. I put them in my cart but took them out yesterday and now I am kicking myself!
I love your writing style, you always me smile or chuckle and I love Boyd's faces, not to mention his outfit today.
His clothes are "happy" together - brown!
Boyd is so cute, funny about lions eating 6 yr olds. ha.

Love his curly hair, rosy cheeks and expressions! Glad you had a pod day!
Little Boyd is totally rocking the mismatched look. I love it. The trees here are all in bloom with pink and white - so happy to see signs of spring.
Shhh, don't tell my kids but I'm glad that Boyd broke that toy! And I say a sign of a good day is when the floor is littered with toys that have been played with. Thanks for spending the morning with me...still thinking about our good conversation.
Sounds like a terrific morning.. GREAT photo's. What a cutie pie..;))

Boyd has so many cute and funny facial expressions! And, that mismatched look is all the rave right now on the runway. ;)
It's funny to hear bloggers in nice warm areas talking about spring (you and Genn!) No signs of spring by me yet...everything is all tan and brown and blah! :(
He is just so adorable! Great smile! I can't wait for Spring to show itself here :-) Glad we've had a mild winter though.

LMBO! Do lions eat 6 years olds? Lol It reminds me of the funny guy from the Hangover when he asked "did the real Ceasar live here?" So nonchalant.
I used to lock myself in the bathroom to cry. When Noah didn't talk and times were just plain out tough.
Hoping today was brighter! I LOVE Boyd's hair!
XO
*hugs* to you friend

my girls were always mismatched as well - so cute!! would you believe that spring is even showing itself all the way up here too?! fully bloomed yellow crocuses along my front yard - and now today it's snowing?!
I'm digging the mismatched look but my husband would say the same thing as yours. Shipley donuts--yes, please!!! I'm seeing signs of spring here, too. Can you believe it's supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow? BTW, I love that we live in the same area and can compare silly things like the weather :)
Boyd is so cute!!
From what I hear, lions love 6 year olds... but once you are 7, you are safe. ;)
I am jealous of your plant... my thumb is black-- and I get a super feeling of guilt once I kill every plant I buy... so I quit buying them. I love them though...
