Good morning. I am in cleaning mode. About an hour ago I said no way, but a couple of cups of coffee later, and I have some energy. We feel happy, but exhausted after the holiday. How about you? I don't have an explanation for this picture, except that I love half and half, and the little people on this carton, so there you go.
I've got most of our Christmas stuff stacked on the couch in the front living room. I plan to vacuum now, and run the carpet shampooer over a few places. I also have a stack for Goodwill, which I should have done before Christmas. We had such a great Christmas and I've been wishy washy about taking down our decor, but right this second I am ready. I always love having my normal house back. I even took away my Christmas header on here. Time to get ready for the New Year.
I have one small problem. I'm not sure how to dispose of Boyd's gingerbread house. He is going to be mad.
:)
My cousin and his wife had their first baby on the 26th at 1:35 am. Almost a Christmas baby! We are so happy for them. I went to visit yesterday, and I had about 2 hours of loving on their precious, snuggly 12 hour old baby. I could eat him up. He is perfect. Say hello to Andrew.

Ok, that's about it. I better run before I lose my will to clean. Have a good day.

Thanks for the motivation!
I need to do the same. But first, I need to regain my energy!!! I was in overdrive for a couple of weeks, and I crashed big time, Christmas night! I feel like jello!!!
I love 1/2 & 1/2 too. I always used it in my coffee until a couple of years ago, when I switched to fat free. SO not the same. I have the real McCoy in the fridge now for the holidays and boy am I enjoying my coffee!!!!
Yea for the new babe. What a thrill. That miracle never gets old!!!!
Hugs,
Kris
Love the pictures in your header. I love it when I can get Maddox to wear a little knit hat like that.
I cleaned out a lot yesterday. Our stuff was stacked up too. We have so many toys. And with 2 birthdays in October and 1 in December, all our loot seems to come at once. Evelyn has trouble letting go of things (she gets that from me, shhh) and since most of the toys we have were hers first, that means I have to be sneaky to avoid tears. We point out your friends every chance we get. We pray for them and talk about what life must be like for them and how fortunate we are. But, the talks about giving to others only help so much with kids. I, also, should have done it before Christmas, but it's easier to justify to the kids about making room for the new stuff when they already have all the new stuff.
Glad you got some snuggle time. There's nothing better than a new baby, except maybe a 3 year old, or a 6 year old, or a 9 year old. They're all blessings!
Cute new header Nicolle! I finally had enough and cleaned and organized this morning. Our house was a disaster! I'm so happy you had a great Christmas. How's your sister feeling?
I ended up putting our stuff away last night. I was so tired by the time I was done but I was glad to have it finished. I also ended up with a pile of stuff to take to Goodwill.
What a sweet little baby!
Hope you have a good day too!!
I did some major cleaning yesterday but it must have used all of my energy because there is still more to do but I have not accomplished any of it!!
The boys are nuts after all of this Christmas madness-- there is literally a rubber Buzz Lightyear on top of my ceiling fan right now.
I am beat...
They are spent...
We need naps.
I love the browns and yellows of your header.
Forget half and half! I have a whole carton of heavy cream in the fridge!
Oh, and I love that baby picture.
awwww....what a perfect Christmas gift. He is precious!
I toss the gingerbread houses when the girls aren't around so they don't realize it. Good luck!! :)
congrats, auntie - he is adorable!! yesterday was our big day too for getting on with it and cleaning up all things x'mas ... man, it's a lot of stuff to put away!! and like you, the push for a goodwill pile is next :)
Good ol coffee always kicks us into high gear huh?
Ah babies are so presh :)
Well, I kicked the coffee creamer habit while on the island but my sister has gotten me hooked on half&half. So yummy. I am busy bagging things up and sorting through closets. The kids have outgrown so much while we were away. It feels good and I want to get organized before the boxes show up to be unpacked. Glad you have that burst of energy and are accomplishing a lot around your house. I never know how to get rid of the gingerbread houses either. I always feel bad!
I love cleaning and purging after the holidays...before too...well any time really!:)
never had half and half i don't think, but those people sure are cute!
babies.....sigh.................
have a happy day nicolle
Geez, not sure when we'll get around to taking down Christmas stuff. We don't use the room that the tree is in for anything as of yet and therefore it might be Valentine's day before we get around to it.
