cupcake friday {thai food and the park}

This morning we stopped and got Whataburger for Boyd, I picked up some spring rolls from our new favorite Thai food place, and we headed to the park. Is Whataburger just a Texas thing? I need to look that up.

This peanut dipping sauce is out of this world.

I can't get enough of these things. They are so delicious.

Boyd found a friend to play with and kept saying to him, hey brother.
They had fun watching the trains go by.

A beautiful day.

I am certain that dirt is the best part of childhood.

Dirty faces. I love them.

Then we went for cupcakes. I had red velvet, and Boyd had chocolate.

It's been a good day.

I've learned a couple of things this week. Less computer time is a really great thing. And, when I get stressed about my old, clunky car, I remember to be thankful that I have a car, that I can stay home with Boyd right now, and that if this is one of my biggest problems, I'm gonna be ok.

have a good weekend.

I loved days like yours when the kids were little.

Hey, your car is a SURVIVOR! Drive proud!

What a great day! Love that smile at the end. :)

I heard a year or two back that we were supposed to get Whataburger, but I haven't seen any signs in the ATL...bummer! :(

Hi Nicolle,
What a beautiful day you guys had. I would have taken your crystal clear blue skies over our grey and dreary ones any day.
How cool that you can play at that park AND watch the trains go by. love the "brother" comment....i love to watch little ones make friends.

Loved that 1st picture of him. So darn cute. Maybe the 'hey brother' is him hinting to you. haha just kidding.

I drove cross country once and saw Whataburger, but don't remember where. I know I saw a lot of them, so maybe its a Texas south thing... =/

Not on the west coast, I know that.

love that gorgeous blue sky in those pictures.

and yup, dirt is a good part about childhood. i should let my girls get dirtier. they'd love it.

your thai food looks great.

never heard of whataburger. maybe it is a texas thing.

im trying to do less computer time too. i am really trying to focus on the no processed foods in our home and it is taking a lot of my computer time and turning it into kitchen time. but it's worth it.

have a great weekend nicolle!
ps- you need an immersion blender!!! they are SO handy. and it was only $29. not too bad.

Good for you guys getting out today in what I thought was cold weather! Whataburger is Gabe's absolute fav, but I do think it is a Texas thing. We have it pretty great here in the Lone Star State. And I say no car payments is the best thing ever...drive her 'til she quits!

I LOVE that last picture!!!
I've never heard of Whataburger. The other night Eric and I were watching House Hunters and they were in a cute town outside of Austin. I was telling Eric all the reasons we would love Texas!
I've been trying to be on the computer less too...I feel bad when I don't see who's all posted right away. It's just my butt's getting bigger from all this sitting!
I can't wait until my vehicle is paid off...I will drive her until she stops running!
Enjoy your weekend!

Oh I think I could drink that kind of peanut dipping sauce. Yum! My mom always said kids should eat a peck of dirt before they grow up. I know my (now very tidy) little girl did. What a beautiful sweater and sunglasses kind of day. Have a great weekend.

What a what? Dirt... truly something my girls never really appreciated. Enjoy your boy time, it is special. And as for old clunkers, we are working on 300,000 clicks. Hopefully the rust will hold it all together : ) And yes it is one of the reasons I am able to be at home. Love my old clunker.

okay... Boyd looks soooo grown up in that first picture...
And-- if you don't frame that last picture in your house... I might have to in mine!!

Now that park-- is within walking distance (almost) to me...

Let's play together one day!

P.S. Lance's truck is paid for-- I know (and love) the feeling of that financial freedom!

I had a red velvet cupcake today too! I was going to try something new, but I cannot pass up a red velvet cupcake. I really need to branch out.
