tuesday things

I am convinced that boys are just as moody/dramatic as girls.
Or, maybe it's just 3 year old boys named Boyd.
He was cold, and upset that his friend Todd was not home.

Texas grapefruit is so good.

I've been eating yogurt with granola and adding ground flax seed. I love flax and just thinking about how healthy it is makes me happy. I've been taking my vitamins and drinking water. I feel good.

Tonight for dinner we had stir fry. Instead of rice, we had quinoa. It was delicious. I mean, really delicious.

This morning I vacuumed the house, we met some dear friends for taco tuesday {thanks Whitney, HG and Harper. It was great fun!}, then I came home and shampooed carpets. I love freshly shampooed carpets. Mentally I feel so good, and I know it's because I'm taking my vitamins regularly {a woman's multi and a b complex}. Maybe it's the flax too? I don't know, but I like the feeling.

And then I have more energy to keep up with Boyd, which is always a good thing.

Boyd likes blue tic tacs. And, he likes to wear mismatched shoes. We let him.

This sweet face makes me smile.

Boyd really wants a baby sister. The other day he said we could make one out of paper mache'. ha.

good night.

I Really need to start taking vitamins. I've tried to be better about drinking more water.

We should meet for taco Tuesday sometime! Trade war stories.

Great idea on using the quinoa instead of rice for a stir fry! I am going to steal that genius idea. I love the idea of a baby sister too ;-)

Good for you for eating well and feeling well.
I love flax too. Put it in my cereal cause I am a huge cereal fan.
My newest kick is jasmine green tea. I have been reading about how good green tea is for you and suddenly I am addicted. Drinking it all the time.
That pic of Boyd on the left side of the picture smiling is SO neat. I love the composition and what a great real smile you captured there too.
Happy Tuesday Nicolle.

Way to go on the vitamin taking and water drinking! :o) I just bought some more vitamins yesterday, now the trick is remembering to take them ;o)

When you figure out how to make Boyd a baby out of paper mache, I'll take one too ;o)

That first smiling picture of Boyd is maybe the cutest picture of him I have ever seen - frame that baby! He is so cute :) So glad you are feeling good. I forget vitamins more than I take them...I need to remember!

I love the idea of using Quinoa instead of rice to go with stir fry. Good thinking there! I'm definitely doing that tomorrow for dinner. Good luck on that paper mache sister. ;) Glad you're feeling good these days!

He honestly could not get any cuter!!

Seeing your stir fry with cashews makes me think of your spicy green beans that I add cashews to and am straight-up addicted to! (at least twice a week, addicted!)

you are such a good mommy.
I would love to think I would let Maddox keep his shoes un-matching... but I am so Type-A, I know I would have to fix it!
I envy that about you!

Baby sister, huh?....
If I get a vote, I say yes! ;)

Oh my word...that 2nd picture of Boyd is the cutest ever!! You need to print that baby for sure! Your quinoa and stir fry looks so darn good...I must try that! And good for you for taking care of yourself...I've been trying to do that more too...fit in a little exercise (yesterday I bought a big ball and a video at Target...tried it out and now today I feel like I was hit by a truck I am that sore!) It's such a daily struggle for me w/ the whole eating healthy thing. I'm working on it though. I've never taken vitamins...any suggestions?

quinoa stir fry is pure genius, nicolle! after my resolution to do better with sugar elimination, the holidays just killed me and i haven't yet turned things around ... perhaps a dose of quinoa will remind me of that goal ;)

ps - great shots of boyd, he's so cute - and what a sweet comment about him making a baby sister from paper mache ... adorable!

Loving Boyd's hat! Does quioa taste like rice? I've never had it or cooked it. Evan is really into Tic Tacs too. He loves the orange ones!!! I vote for a baby sister too! Ha!!!

I read this morning that Flaxseed (1Tablespoon) plus 1T of Pysllium Husk is so great for weight loss. I have been doing just the Psyllium Husk in my almond milk...but I want to try the flax too & I think I'm going to add it to my yogurt instead b/c it's hard to drink it down.

Bless Boyd's heart for wanting to make a baby sister, so cute. Thank GOOD ness Noah hasn't asked me for siblings as I can't give him any alone.

Love his sweet face too, what an angel :)

Re: Erika..I'm off to eat a cup of flax seed.

I love that hat on Boyd....baby sister? When we told our son he was going to have a baby brother or sister he wanted to know if the baby was going to sleep in the street.
