it's crazy how long this season has lasted, and yet it's coming to a close, pending playoffs.
boyd's team has won 2 games, and lost 3.
they've had a bake sale, a party, there is a carnival coming up, a lot more practice, and so on.
you're pretty much all in with football.
i kind of think i'll miss it when the season is over.
i was saying something to kevin the other day about youth sports,
and he reminded me that there are really only a few more years of them for boyd,
until he starts playing in middle and high school, if that is his wish.
it put it all into perspective for me, and made me want to slow things down a little,
even though i know that's impossible.
even though i know that's impossible.
at the start of the high school game.
the little boys loved it, and i loved seeing the high school kids being so nice to our team.
guess what.
red is NOT my favorite color.
i've never been drawn to it.
i like it for other people, on other people, as decor in their homes,
it's just not my thing.
i've had a lot of red this football season.
i can't say it's growing on me, but i sure do love my little #42 in red,
and i'd love his team and his uniform no matter what it looked like.
i just had to add that, because i laugh at all the red here lately.
and a few things, besides football.
favorite things:
my talavera jack-o-lanterns and this time of year
homemade salsa, and thai chicken pizza
playing in the rain
coffee and lunch with girlfriends, old and new, treasures to my heart
boyd is down right now, with a stomach bug.
i kept him home from school today,
and he's been eating saltines and asking for more,
drinking 7-up,
and playing football on his game system.
i hate when he's sick, but i love taking care of him.
i recently had a couple of people ask me what in the world do i do all day.
i guess i make salsa, and eat lunch with friends.
{wink, wink}.
bless them for asking, though.
love,
nicolle

such cute pics though, all that red! And give me all the food and the coffee!
Making salsa and lunching with friends....now that sounds like the life! ;)
I hope Boyd is back to feeling better by now. He seems much too busy to be down and out on the couch! I enjoy taking care of Brady when he's sick....it feels good to be needed in that way. They grow so darn fast.... Brady told me the other day that I'm so "touchy." (Meaning I am always touching him!) I told him that will never change so he better get used to it!
